Despite weather that has been unseasonably cold and wet even for Scotland in April, we had another good day on Saturday. That’s a 100% record this year – including one wedding in January!
Karen & David’s wedding had all the traditional elements. They were married in the beautiful “old” chapel at Glasgow University. Janet tells me that Karen was monitoring the set-up at the chapel via web-cam while she was getting ready at her parent’s home – a truly 21st-century bride. The setting is wonderfully traditional and atmospheric, and when the choir performed a sung “Amen” at the end of the ceremony the effect was, quite literally, spine-tingling.

We had time for some romantic photographs in the University grounds, particularly in the cloisters, where the light is always magical

Then it was off to the reception at Dalziel Park in the superb “borrowed” and “blue” Bentley Arnage provided by Clarkson Wedding Services -

Dalziel Park is a new venue for us. It is large enough to easily accommodate the almost 200 guests at Karen & David’s wedding without crowding. The facility is also intelligently designed to allow the band to set up during dinner, which helps keep everything on schedule and gives you more dancing time! The room looked superb when fully decked out for the celebrations and the food was first-class
