When I first photographed a wedding at Guthrie Castle, I wished I could have the opportunity to cover a wedding in the tiny chapel that is part of the castle. It seemed unlikely, as the chapel can only hold about two dozen people, while the recently built Grand Pavilion can host up to 350 guests. Claire & Mike granted my wish when they booked Team Thomson to cover their wedding. The ceremony during the day included immediate family only and was held in the chapel, with lots of friends arriving later for the celebration. Claire wanted a piper to greet her evening guests as they arrived and asked her sister Debbie to make the arrangements. Debbie took the idea to the max, and booked an entire pipe band!
