When I started the blog, I wondered if I would be able to write something different and heartfelt about every single wedding. I needn’t have worried – take Pauline & Ian’s wedding this week for instance. Should I talk about the great people? The beautiful church, (St Mary’s in Lanark), or the historic venue of New Lanark Mill? How about the fabulous cars that Waterside Weddings supplied, or the excellent and entertaining Malibu Wedding Band? No, this week I must tell you that I discovered my “inner bridesmaid”. When I saw the bridesmaids’ dresses hanging in Pauline’s parents home I thought they were a deep wine red. I was blown away when the bridesmaids arrived at the church and turned into brilliant butterflies in their amazing dresses – and, of course, Pauline looked wonderful too! I also have to admit a new appreciation for bridal shoes, but that’s another story…..
